And finally, the noisemakers!

And finally, the noisemakers!

The La Carlota market was even busier than usual this morning, as people from the city and the surrounding countryside came in to buy food for their “media noche” midnight feast.

I wrote about the market earlier this year.  That post is at

https://orionblair.wordpress.com/2014/04/04/market-march-26-2014/

The open spaces at the center of the market last March were full of vendors today.  The market resounded with the bleats and wails of noisemakers hawked by young men and little boys.  We sat and absorbed the scene over a cup of coffee, then wandered the market.   Lina may not have taken a photo of every kind of fruit on sale today, but she came close!

We wish you a wonderful and fruitful New Year!
